Wenger to shock with stunning move as target to be sold

There has been some reports which could put Arsenal on red alert, as Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney could be on his way out of Old Trafford as Louis Van Gaal eyes up Edinson Cavani.

Cavani was only signed by Paris Saint-Germain for £56m last summer but spent the season playing in a wide role with Zlatan Ibrahimovic preferred through the middle of their 4-3-3 formation.

That has led to speculation he is seeking a move away from the French giants, as he wants to be the main man.

And United have been heavily linked with a move, as Van Gaal looks to build a side that can get back to the very top of the game.

But it would be difficult to see Louis van Gaal integrating the 27-year-old into a starting line up with both Rooney and Robin van Persie so it remains possible that the England striker could leave to make way, according to the Metro.

And Gunners may well be keen, as he is still searching for another big named striker to go alongside Olivier Giroud.
