Just when their attacking options appeared more diverse than in recent seasons, Olivier Giroud came a cropper and now they look set to provide us with a mouthwatering amount of pre-deadline fodder over the next few days.
The Mirror reports that the strapping Frenchman, who scored a late equaliser at Goodison Park on Saturday before being laid low by an even later injury, will be out of action for at least three months, sparking a Benny Hill-style chase around a continent's worth of available centre-forwards.
First up is Danny Welbeck, whose value may just have plummeted after Manchester United's humbling at MK Dons but is said to be available for 16 million pounds.
The Gunners have made an inquiry already but United may not be keen to strengthen a rival; as such, the likes of Alessio Cerci and Loic Remy have come into consideration too.
Either way, from seeming likely to give us a serene end to the window, it now appears that Arsène Wenger's men will keep giving once more.
