Remarkably, the youngster is only 11-years-old, but has been labelled as one of the most talented prospects to have graced Barca’s famous academy.

According to the Express, Chelsea have made an offer to the Dutch midfielder’s family in order to sign him from the Catalan club’s La Masia academy.

Barcelona are desperate to keep hold of their wonderkid, and have held positive talks with Simon’s family in a bid to secure his future in Spain.

The la Liga giants are renowned for developing some of the world’s greatest talents, with Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta and Xavi all graduating through their youth ranks.

In the past they have lost the likes of Cesc Fabregas to Arsenal when the Spaniard was just 16, only for him to make a return to the club.

Barca will now be hoping that they can keep hold of Simons rather than lose him before his talent fully develops.
