Sporting Lisbon reject late Arsenal offer for William Carvalho

Arsenal have seen a late offer for midfielder William Carvalho rejected by Portuguese club William Carvalho, reports

Times journalist Duncan Castles, with Sporting not expecting the Gunners to meet their 30 million Euro asking price.

Carvalho has been reported as a transfer target for a number of big Premier League clubs this summer, including Arsenal and Manchester United, but time is running out for the Portuguese international to secure a move away from Lisbon.

The club are reportedly willing to part with their most prized asset for a fee of 30 million Euros, but it would appear that Arsenal are not willing to match this price – potentially focusing their attention on a striker.
