The
Ivory Coast international is currently enjoying with his national side in the preparations
of the African Cup of Nations.
The
31-year-old star player told when asked about his future that he does not know about his Premier League future and currently he is on international duty and is
focusing on the African Cup of Nations.
“That’s a big question and that’s an
easy question as well, and you have an easy answer. We’ll see.”
“I don’t know. I’m at
City. City is a great club where I’ve achieved lots of things.”
Toure
joined City from Barcelona for a fee around £24 million in 2010. The midfielder
has won many trophies including two Premier League titles.
The
Ivorian has a contract until 2017 and is considered to be a big name for the Citizens.
Meanwhile,
City boss Manuel Pellegrini has also admitted yesterday that they can cope in
the absence of him in the Premier League games but only for such particular
period.
The
Chilean added that he is confident that Toure will stay for a long time.
However, he is still unsure about his future as anything can happen in
football.
“I think Yaya is 100 per cent
committed with this team, I don’t have any doubts about that.”
“I don’t think any of us know what
will happen in six months. We don’t know where you can be. We cannot know what
will happen in the future.”
