Am Unaware of Caroll Interest From Chelsea

West Ham manager David Moyes says he has heard nothing about Chelsea’s reported interest in a January purchase of striker Andy Carroll.

The Blues are struggling for goals at the moment, as Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Leicester City was their third goalless draw in a row, the first time that has happened in the club’s history.

Alvaro Morata’s goals have dried up in recent weeks and, with manager Antonio Conte seemingly unwilling to rely on Michy Batshuayi, reports suggest the Blues are looking to bring in the 29-year-old centre-forward.

"They have not made contact with me, so if they have made contact with someone else I don't know about it," Moyes said.

"At the moment Andy Carroll is one of my squad, I want to add to the squad, not lose players.

"I know nothing about it. There have been a lot of rumours regarding a loan but as far as I know it has never officially come from Chelsea. I am not keen to lose any players, I am more keen to add to the squad.

"At the moment Andy has an ankle injury so we are hoping that will settle quickly and he will be back training shortly."
