Juventus are ready to offer Edinson Cavani a way out of his Paris Saint-Germain contract following more controversy with world-record signing Neymar.
The Brazilian has been accused of putting himself before the team once again, after deciding not to give Cavani the chance to become the club's leading top goalscorer from the penalty spot in their 8-0 drubbing over Dijon.
Neymar was met with boos after taking the penalty himself to score his fourth goal on Wednesday night, in what was a impressive performance by the 25-year-old.
According to Italian news outlet Corriere dello Sport, the 30-year-old can 'no longer stay with the French side' and has already decided on 'finding a new club'.
They claim Juventus are ready to snap up the former Napoli man and want to bring him back to the Serie A.
The Uruguay international still has two years left on his current contract, after he signed a contract extension back in April last year.
A price for the prolific attacker is yet to be decided and it still remains to be seen whether the French club want to sell the one of their key men.
It isn't the first time Cavani has been linked with a move away following a clash with Neymar.
In September, the pair had a visible disagreement over who should be on set-piece duty during their victory over Lyon.
Hours later, however, reports surfaced, claiming the duo had to be separated in the dressing room. One newspaper claimed Neymar had told Khelaifi his 'coexistence with Cavani is totally impossible and he has asked for the transfer of the Uruguayan striker.'
And while there has been no reported bust-up between the pair following Neymar's reluctance to give Cavani the penalty on Wednesday, Juventus will be on standby for when it inevitably happens again.
