Emmanuel Adebayor Discharged - Tottenham Confirm

Spurs have announced that Emmanuel Adebayor has been discharged from hospital after being admitted with a “mild bout of malaria”. 

The 30-year-old striker returned to training like the rest of team-mates last week as new manager Mauricio Pochettino put his new squad through their paces.

The former Arsenal striker was brought to hospital due to the illness on Saturday and Spurs confirmed that the Togo international would be unavailable for their pre-season tour.

And Tottenham revealed via Twitter that Adebayor has been released from hospital and will rest for a week before joining pre-season training.
Adebayor scored 11 goals in 21 Premier League appearances last season.
