Sami Khedira ‘agrees personal terms

Arsenal have been heavily linked with Germany international midfielder, who is entering the final year of his contract at Bernabeu, as Arsène Wenger looks to bolster his squad ahead of the new campaign.

Recent media reports in Spain have claimed that Arsenal have had a £19.8m bid accepted by Los Blancos for the 27-year-old World Cup winner, who has also been linked with Chelsea this summer.

Now, CaughtOffside is reporting that Khedira has agreed personal terms with Arsenal and that the north London club will confirm the signing of the midfielder on Monday.

Speaking on Saturday, Wenger refused to confirm or deny Arsenal’s interest in signing Khedira. When asked directly about the player, Wenger replied: “Look, I can’t give you any names,” before adding: “We are still active.

“Sometimes the players you want are available very late. You do the deals when they are possible.”
Khedira’s agent last week insisted that he did not know anything of Arsenal’s reported interest in his client.

“We are not in talks with Arsenal,” Neubauer told The Telegraph. “I don’t think a fee has been agreed, otherwise I would have been told.

“When a club have an interest I am sure they will call me and we will speak about things.”
