FA Cup Schedule Confirmed: Arsenal + Man Utd Televised

The schedule for the fourth round of the FA Cup has been confirmed.

Arguably the most-anticipated tie of the round sees League Two side Cambridge United host Premier League giants Manchester United.

This match is to take place on Friday 23 January at 19:55 GMT.  We’re not sure when United’s last Friday fixture was, probably a UEFA Super Cup?

Defending champions Arsenal will also been on UK television as their trip to Championship strugglers Brighton & Hove Albion has been moved to Sunday 25th at 16:00; the penultimate tie of the round.

The other tie taking place on Sunday is at 14:00, between Doncaster Rovers/Bristol City vs Everton/West Ham United.  Those four teams have their third round replays on Tuesday 13 January.

The added incentive of TV revenue is now up for stakes in those matches next week.

The Saturday lunchtime 12:45 kickoff will be between Championship promotion hopefuls Blackburn Rovers against midtable Premier League side Swansea City.

Liverpool host Bolton Wanderers in the 17:30 Saturday kickoff.

The final tie of the round before replays is Rochdale hosting Stoke City on Monday 26 January at 20:00.  Something tells us this is going to draw the smallest television audience.

If your team is in the fourth round and has not been mentioned in this article, they will be playing on Saturday 25 January at 15:00.
